Bla bla bla, yes it's an Internet station, listen to it. Don't listen to it. Either way find something practical to do with your lives and stop banging on about it
In the old days if it had been Mike Read or the other great jocks leaving it might have had more impact. Chirpy puts a lot of effort and enthusiasm into his shows but he's not a natural broadcaster. Sorry to say this but a good proportion working there and giving of their spare time would in my opinion fit into that catagory. I've said it before and i'll say it again but this BIG L just doesn't do it for me. Ray's station wasn't perfect but it ticked a lot more of the boxes and could be heard (albeit by only people like myself living in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and across the continent) on AM. It got the hairs on the back of the neck standing up. It was a great radio station. I admire the dedication of the anorak's keeping it going and realising a dream but i'm sorry i can't get excited over the possibility of ONE person leaving. So what!!

I agree with you 100%. Ray`s station was a breath of fresh air on my radio. Now for the most part its just `Hot Air` But in saying that Chirpy worked hard at presenting his show each morning, and the times I did listen he always sounded good. He will be missed and I wish him well.

Well, you can't bring the past back.....but at least RD pushed on and kept things going for the future. I respect him for all the time and energy he has put into keeping BIGl alive. I love the station dearly, listened to others in the UK and it is to my taste. The others were not. I also think all the presenters all do a great job and they all donate their time for their love of music and for us. So it goes, listen if you want, if you don't want to, then you know what to do.

Your comments don't upset anyone. It's amusing in fact. For someone who quite clearly doesn't like Big L, you certainly spend alot of time talking about it ;)
Forums are in place to debate issues. Some issues and points of view we will agree on 100% but some we will not. I'm sure Mary is not upset. Her listening pleasure has been enhanced by BIG L. It's just not to everyone's taste.
Precisely presenters disappear with little notice all over the place Norwich 99.9 and breakfast presenter Steve Bradley springs to mind he went in March this year apparently never returning from holiday.
That is usually the case .. no ones job is safe .. My good friend Tony Wright had a 2 week holiday from capital gold as it was in Cardiff .. Came back and his show was networked from London . Same has happened to me over the years. You just get on with it. :-)
