GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I HATE WINDOWS!!
During the night the stream went off air and I couldn't get to the computer to find out why and the server was off too, indicating that the playout system had been off for a while.
Fearing the worst, as soon as I could I came and checked on the big computer having first checked that the problem wasn't with the server.
When I got here the computer was happily just idling after restarting following some Windows updates.
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Is there any way of disabling the automatic updates and just making them a manual update?

Not sure which Windows version you have on that machine Chris, but in XP (as I happen to be typing this on an XP machine), Start > Settings > Control Panel > Automatic Updates: Then select "Download Updates for me, but let me choose when to install them". Then it'll just let you know when updates are ready to be installed and you can install whenever you're ready.
