Finally #6 has been banished. Who is #2? I don't know but he's at FOBL and the Frinton Fixers have fixed it for me so that I can't log on.
I had expected it as I haven't exactly been a Friend of... lately, but I have visited every day to keep up with 'The everyday story of FOBL folk'. How will I know that Ellie's show is very good? How will I know what the weather is like in different parts of the USA?
I will miss BLBM and his tireless efforts to spread the word and I will miss the occasional gem from one of the few radio related contributors. I will miss seeing what Cookie is up to(although, hopefully he will keep posting on here). I will miss Keith Mardell and Bill Rollins but there's always the Podcasts.
Without FOBL.... well, it's life Jim, but not as we know it.

I can't remember any obnoxious or abusive post you might have done on FOBL itself. In my eyes a member may be banned from a forum only for those offenses( if !!) he/her has done exclusively against the rules of that forum that has banned him/her and this also only after a pertinent warning.

I behaved myself on FOBL but I was critical on Garry Stevens Pirate Radio forum of the handling of Chirpygate and more so about the subsequent cover up and then GS censorship of the Related stories.

All I can say #6 is you wont miss much. I last looked in about 12 months back and laughed at what I saw. It was a shadow of its former self.
Yes - FOBL once was a lively amusing, teasing and interesting forum where you could learn a lot from, meet loads of interesting people and could make friends and also everyone tried to help everyone if there were troubles in loging in or to paste an avatar or to tune into a radio station or if you simply needed an info - good old times ... where (and why) are they gone........... ?

Join the gang #6 after a while you don't miss it. I only use this forum & MRN these days. At least that way I can say what I want when I want and not worry about being banned. I told Garry Stevens where he could shove his censored board a while back.
Me I don't get involved in Big L discussions anymore lifes too short to get worked up about it. Its just the same with the Seagull 1395 signal discussion I just couldn't care less anymore. Maybe I've just become boring!!!

Have tried to log in but it does not recognise my user name or email address......obviously not wanted......I prefer this site which is more factual and less opinionated

That's exactly what I got Big Al. They've obviously had a purge of those who dare state the truth in public. I suspect that the aim was to limit the negative views to avoid losing more listeners but, it seems that their actions/comments have lost them even more. It's such a shame that a few strong and vindictive personalities look likely to destroy what was once a great station, even when internet only. I miss it, but I'm bu**ered if I'll listen now.

I've just had a looksie over at FOBL and both #6 and Big Al seem to be active still. There is no guest designation under any of your posts. Unfortunately I cannot tell you what the issue is as I don't know.
