The Mighty KBC is testing on 9400 kHz on Sunday, October 7th, 2012 between 00.00 - 02.00 UTC with 100kW beamed to the USA, South America and Canada. Check your local time here.

WOW!!

I'm working nights the night before and that night, so if they're on late Sat night/early Sunday Morning or even Sunday evening/night, I'll try the "Big Radio" and report back.

There's what sounds like a "Talk Radio" coming through here on the "Big Radio" at 60%. Unsure if it's KBC so I'm not sending a reception report.

Coastie - the 9400 khz test will be on only on Oct. 7th between 00:00 > 02:00h ... - so for sure it was something else

So what are they testing this weekend then?

DOH!! I'll try then, then!

The "Big Radio" will not pick up 9400kc/s.

Try 6070 khz now with a sponsored test transmission by 'Radio Skyline'

I wasn't successful with KBC 9400 khz either - but only tried a few seconds - had set my alarm-clock

Can't check 6070 now, I'm home. If it's on later (20.00BST onwards) I'll check then.

Testing KBC - 9400 khz - I got this answer from eric:

The only reason I couldn't listen is cos the "Big Radio" doesn't cover that frequency.

They'll do another test next week

There is something on 6070 playing music but the audio isn't brilliant although the signal is coming in at around 60%

Audio not brilliant but signal hovvering around 80%.
