Looks like it's serving hospitals in the area Arvy. Most UK hospitals have had internal radio, piped to headphones at the bedside for many years. In recent years, some of these stations have been able to gain licences to transmit on AM. Here in Bognor, I can hear Chichester Hospital Radio on 1431AM.

You could be correct Cookie. I like hospital radio a lot. Here in Redbridge we have King George hospital `KG Radio` that's supported by a local news paper.
Hospital radio serves two aspects. It entertains those who are unwell and also can be a good spring board for people to work in radio. Its surprising how many big name broadcasters who started out in hospital radio.

Thanks for the info Cookie! Nice to hear that. Hospital Radio is doing a good job for the ill people. How great some station did get the chance to broadcast on AM these days. Overhere in Holland no hospital radio exists anymore. In the past it was overhere like in the UK. these were many hospital stations and some well known DJ's started their career overthere. those times are long gone. In hospital you can only listen to radio or watch TV nowadays from the well known channels and you have to pay a lot for this ''service'' as well.
