Join us on Big L over the next couple of days, for a series of special shows as Big L commemorates the pirates and the coming into force of the UK Marine Offences Act, at midnight on the 14 August 1967.
The specials kick off on Saturday evening, with Paul Vos presenting the RNI story at 7pm. Phil Troll takes to the air at 8pm, with an hour dedicated to the pirates from 1964 to 1967. Phil's second hour features the pirates from 67 onwards.
On Mondays Lunchtime Shuffle, Danny Van Dam plays the first half of the final Radio London Fab 40, from August 1967, with part two on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Dave Mason will play the jingles and singles from the pirates. Chirpy's Breakfast show and my afternoon show will feature music, jingles and clips from the 60's pirates, plus your memories. At 3pm on Tuesday, I'll be commemorating the closedown of Radio London at that hour of that fateful day, 1967.
