Good evening Alec, No --I have never been on board--that is my next ' plan of action'--soon. I don't think that she will be transmitting with her own mast just yet--in the meantime--you will be able to hear the 'crew'--some of the DJs broadcasting from on board --via Manx Radio at the end of October--so not long to go now--I will keep you informed---there are also ' boat trips'-- to go out and get ' on board' the Ross Revenge--when the 'lads' are there ! Yes of course I know about the Manx-Radio relays and I also tried to catch 1368 khz over here on my radio and also car radio but with no success - but as you know Coastie is relaying the AM-outlet every time and also I could catch 1368 via a remote receiver ( websdr. in in the UK) though the signal was pretty weak as the receiver is situated out of the TX beam. - I hope you'll soon have the chance to do one of the trips to the RR. - You deserve it ! - fingers crossed

I know it's only half a kilowatt-but this is a situation that could feasibly happen in the UK
I happened to catch 1602 khz (Radio Seagull) when in the countryside on my little coffeeshop radio - weak signal and a lot of interference from Spanish stations using the same frequency but it was possible to identify Seagull however. So if Caroline would use a free frquency in the 1200 > 1611 khz array it would be possible I think. - I think 1611khz would be a good place
