Just tuned in to Dave Mason at 10.30pm-and total silence!! Anyone know whats happened?????

No problem with Scooby Chris-but BIG problem with Dave Mason!! I love his shows- wonder why it aint there? Would the problem be with the Dave Mason end or the Big L end?

Never mind- listeing to Flower Power radio instead- not as good but better than nothing Funny enough current song is 'There's a Kind of Hush'!!!!!

Only just seen this. Unlikely to be Dave Masons end. Suspect one of the systems at Frinton had crashed. (Maybe the heat?) All I can say is the Beatles kicked in @9, after my show. What happened after that I don't know, as I turned all my kit off, to give it a much needed chance to cool down! Good to know it was restored though. Maybe Roger will repeat Dave's show @4pm one day next week?

If I get to know, before it happens I certainly will. But sometimes these things are done at short (or no) notice, due to changing circumstances.

Btw, for future reference, it would be better to post problems with streams offline etc. on FOBL or on our Facebook group. I'm probably the only one from the station who checks this board fairly regularly. Then, all I can do is forward the details to the management. You can always email/call/text the studio. That said, it may not always be quickly be picked up, when it's not a live show. We do our best to keep an eye on things, but we don't have the resources to ensure 24/7 cover, so please bear with us when things sometimes go belly up and are not ifixed as quikly as we'd all like.

@BigJohn: Not exactly. Problem is, there's no 100% guaranteed way to ensure a problem is picked up quickly at all times. The studio accounts are monitored when a live show is on air. At other times, messages may get picked up, either at the time or later and passed to the relevent person, but there's no guarantee. In practice, it usually works quite well, so always worth a try. If you post in the Technical section of FOBL, it will get picked up, but again, not always in time for a speedy fix.

Best thing I can reccommend is an email to the studio and post a copy to FOBL, stating that you've copied to both, to avoid any confusion. Any detail you can give (ie. which stream, does it connect, is it silent, or is there Hocus Pocus, is the fault constant or intermittent etc.) will be helpful in tracing the fault.
