6095 is very stable and reliable here in Eindhoven Eric. In a true sense the MIGHTY KBC.
Yes of course listening via 6095 SW is real radio listening - but its longer on on i-net - it starts friday-afternoon already . 6095 khz. is incredibly strong - they even got reception reports from Japan, but not yet from the US. I think to remember that there is either a Cuban or a religeous station on that frequency when I tried at the East-coast 2 years ago to catch Deutsche Welle on 6075 khz.
Listening the the mighty KBC tonight and it is sounding great. Non-stop music is really a treat for me. Love to hear the presenters as well, but sometimes you just want to hear one song right after the other. Sounding great Eric.

Of course you can buy one from KPO (eric) but you also have Radio-Shack in the US - it just should be a little world-receiver which isn't bound to 9er or 10er steps on AM but which lets you dial through all bands without frequency step limits
yes, - this looks like a nice little device - but I fear its only for local U.S. use To be a world-receiver - it has to be able to dial through without being bound to 10er steps on MW (which you have in the US) - otherwise it wouldn't work in Europe as we have 9er steps over here and for SW it should also dial thru and not being bound to the official bands only - like it should be able to catch e.g. 6280 khz (which is outside the official 49m-band and where you can find the pirates). Many interesting stations broadcast outside the official bands. It also should have Long-Wave. Another nice attribute would be an 'AUX' jack to amplify i-net listening from your smart-phone. Maybe Coastie can explain better what I mean - its too difficult for me to explain it understandably in short terms in English.

An analogue dial rather than a digital dial would be better. An analogue dial (like on the old radios) can go through any and every frequency whereas most digital dial move in 10kc steps in the States and 9kc steps over here and on the Continent so it might not cover the frequency which KBC is on.

actually, Coastie the 9er/10er step progress you only have on MW - and for people who are not used to dial through SW bands the analogue dial method is rather hopeless. The advantage of digital dialing is that you can see the exact frequency - especially when there is low reception navigation is so much easier as you see exactly where you are and where to go to. Dialing to 6095 khz. should be no problem as it is within the (everywhere) official 49 m-band - reception in Chicago is another thing of course...... Now I think we have totaly confused M-A - and I fear she will drop the idea of buying a trany...
I better not mention that when I received my RedSun world receiver (from Hong Kong) the instruction book was just in Chinese. Still Mary Ann knows we would all rally round to help her become used to her new 'toy.'

For this price its worth taking a chance. Each time I have been in the states Ive looked in at a Radio Shack store and found them most helpful. They seem to enjoy telling you how things work.
