Don't have much details on this yet, a big surprise, the news came through while I was on air this evening. For a six week test period 1395 will be tested at varying powers from the Jenny Baynton. Tests due to start 1st October.

Looks like the news was to breaking for FOBL : - FOBL broke down - and thats what I get : "This account has been suspended.
Either the domain has been overused, or the reseller ran out of resources." (????????????????)

This is good news Big L back on the airwaves it will be interesting to see what reception is like here in the UK.
Presumably the Jenny Baynton is in the harbour & not out to sea for these tests?

It is from the Jenny Baynton & it looks like the tests will be shared with Radio Seagull. More info here http://www.radioseagull.com/news.html

Can't help you with FOBL MaryAnn as I'm still not allowed in but I am sure it will be back soon.

It's been stated that the tests will be made at various powers and from various positions, so it seems the JB won't be in harour all the time. It's interesting, but I wouldn't get too excited, remember these are just tests, for proof of concept. What happens after the tests, who knows? I've got a very good idea, but won't speculate here.

FOBL is now back, but any DNS updates may take a while to filter through for everyone.

This forum is getting really fruity-------Can anyone really imagine Eric in his Y-fronts bent over an antenna at the bow of the JB 8miles out to sea?----These drugs I'm on are really playing with my twisted imagination.

I keep checking but nothing heard here either. Seagull or to be more precise sister station Waddennzee is coming in weakly as usual here on 1602 but nothing on 1395 as yet.
1395 is a far better frequency than 1602 so even if its low power I should be able to get it.

Just got back to Norfolk this pm. Managed to log myself out of this forum via the mobile during the week whilst away but sorted now.

Seagull on 1395 is hissy here indoors & just about listenable in the car. Its definately anorak quality though & really needs Seitse to turn the wick up.

KBC on 6095 is blasting in wall to wall bending the needle!!!!

I am not sure if these 'test transmissions' are meant seriously and not only intended to keep 1395-license save from getting withdrawn from their owners by the Dutch authorities for not using it
